Touch down and just breathe — no rush today. Chengdu is a soft landing, and your guide spends day one quietly working out your rhythm so the whole trip bends around you, not some script.

Day2 Chengdu — Giant pandas & Sichuan table
Slow start or early one, totally your call. a teahouse afternoon in Renmin Park is roughly the heart of today, and we leave plenty of breathing room so nothing feels rushed. Food-wise, hold out for Sichuan hot pot — worth it.

We’ll build today loosely around Jinli and Kuanzhai old lanes, at your pace and nobody else’s. Expect a small surprise or two your guide pulls out depending on the day. Sichuan hot pot sorts the eating. And here’s the bit that’s properly ours: Sichuan opera face-changing (bianlian) and Shu embroidery — a private face-changing show and a Shuxiu studio. Most tours can’t get you in the room — we can.

Today’s the kind you’ll be showing people photos of later — Hongyadong stilt complex, with the freedom to slow right down whenever something catches your eye. Lunch or dinner usually circles back to Chongqing hot pot.

We’ll point you at the Qutang, Wu and Xiling gorges — and since it’s all yours, you linger where it grabs you and wander off when you’re ready. Somewhere in there, onboard regional dining, the kind locals actually line up for, not the tourist version.
