Slow start or early one, totally your call. Mutianyu Great Wall by private cable car is roughly the heart of today, and we leave plenty of breathing room so nothing feels rushed. Food-wise, hold out for Peking duck — worth it.

And Peking duck is exactly what you’ll want when hunger hits. Honestly, this is one of those days people bring up for years. We’ll point you at the Bund and Pudong skyline — and since it’s all yours, you linger where it grabs you and wander off when you’re ready. Somewhere in there, xiaolongbao, the kind locals actually line up for, not the tourist version.
