Touch down and just breathe — no rush today. Shanghai is a soft landing, and your guide spends day one quietly working out your rhythm so the whole trip bends around you, not some script.

Day2 Shanghai — The Bund & Jiangnan gateway
Slow start or early one, totally your call. Yu Garden and the old town is roughly the heart of today, and we leave plenty of breathing room so nothing feels rushed. Food-wise, hold out for xiaolongbao — worth it. And here’s the bit that’s properly ours: Shanghai-style qipao tailoring and Jiangnan silk — a master tailor and a silk house. Most tours can’t get you in the room — we can.

We’ll build today loosely around the Putuoshan island temples, at your pace and nobody else’s. Expect a small surprise or two your guide pulls out depending on the day. island vegetarian and seafood sorts the eating.

Today’s the kind you’ll be showing people photos of later — the South Sea Guanyin statue, with the freedom to slow right down whenever something catches your eye. Lunch or dinner usually circles back to island vegetarian and seafood. And here’s the bit that’s properly ours: Buddhist chant and island temple craft. Most tours can’t get you in the room — we can.

Ease into a West Lake morning by boat today. Nothing’s rigid — your guide flexes things around the weather and how you’re feeling, so it stays comfortable start to finish. And West Lake fish is exactly what you’ll want when hunger hits. And here’s the bit that’s properly ours: Longjing pan-firing and West Lake silk-umbrella craft — a tea-master roasting session.
