Day1 Xian — Terracotta Army & Tang city wall
Touch down and just breathe — no rush today. Xian is a soft landing, and your guide spends day one quietly working out your rhythm so the whole trip bends around you, not some script.

Day2 Xian — Terracotta Army & Tang city wall
Slow start or early one, totally your call. the Ming city wall by bicycle is roughly the heart of today, and we leave plenty of breathing room so nothing feels rushed. Food-wise, hold out for roujiamo — worth it. And here’s the bit that’s properly ours: Shaanxi shadow puppetry (piying) and Qinqiang opera — a private shadow-play performance and a puppet-carving demo. Most tours can’t get you in the room — we can.

Day3 Lanzhou — Yellow River & beef noodles
We’ll build today loosely around the Yellow River waterwheels and Zhongshan Bridge, at your pace and nobody else’s. Expect a small surprise or two your guide pulls out depending on the day. Lanzhou hand-pulled beef noodles sorts the eating.

Today’s the kind you’ll be showing people photos of later — the Gansu Provincial Museum Silk Road hall, with the freedom to slow right down whenever something catches your eye. Lunch or dinner usually circles back to Lanzhou hand-pulled beef noodles. And here’s the bit that’s properly ours: Lanzhou beef-noodle craft and Yellow River sheepskin-raft tradition. Day5 Jiayuguan — Great Wall desert fort
Ease into the Jiayuguan fortress, the Great Walls western end today. Nothing’s rigid — your guide flexes things around the weather and how you’re feeling, so it stays comfortable start to finish. And Hexi corridor lamb and noodles is exactly what you’ll want when hunger hits.

Honestly, this is one of those days people bring up for years. We’ll point you at the Overhanging Wall in the Gobi — and since it’s all yours, you linger where it grabs you and wander off when you’re ready. Somewhere in there, Hexi corridor lamb and noodles, the kind locals actually line up for, not the tourist version.
