Day1 Xi'an — Arrival and the old city at night
Arrive and check in inside the city wall. In the evening, see the Bell and Drum towers lit up and walk to the South Gate.

Day2 Xi'an — The Terracotta Army
Spend the morning at the Terracotta Army, starting at Pit 1 before the busiest hours and continuing to Pits 2 and 3. Add Huaqing Palace in the afternoon if you want a longer day.

Day3 Xi'an — Shaanxi History Museum and the Big Wild Goose Pagoda
Visit the Shaanxi History Museum on a reserved slot for an overview from the Zhou to the Tang dynasties. In the afternoon, see the Big Wild Goose Pagoda and Da Ci'en Temple.

Day4 Xi'an — Cycling the city wall and the Muslim Quarter
Ride a bicycle around the 14 km city wall in the morning. In the afternoon, visit the Great Mosque and walk the Muslim Quarter with your guide for street food.

Day5 Shaanxi — Famen Temple and the Tang tombs
Day trip west of Xi'an to Famen Temple, known for its Tang dynasty relic crypt and museum, and to Qianling, the tomb of Emperor Gaozong and Empress Wu Zetian.

Day6 Xi'an — Han Yangling museum and departure
On the way to the airport, visit the Han Yangling Mausoleum museum, where an underground gallery shows miniature figures from a Han emperor's tomb. Then transfer to your flight.
